How to Use the Detailer Upscaler
If you’re completely new to our Detailer feature, we recommend checking out our previous blog post where we walked through the original version step by step, with plenty of visual examples and tips. Since then, a lot has changed and improved! This latest version provides more flexibility, realism, and power than ever before.
If you want to check out the difference or just simply try out the Detailer, just follow these easy steps:
1. Accessing the Tool
- From the homepage, click the Upscaler option in the left-side menu.
- Or access it easily from the Quick Start menu icons.
2. Upload Your Image
Once you’ve opened the tool, the first thing you’ll need to do is upload your image. Alternatively, you can send an image that you’ve previously generated directly to the Upscaler by clicking the arrow icon at the bottom of the image.
3. Choose Your Enhancement Type
You now have more flexibility than ever, with even more enhancement types than before:
(Note: 8x Upscale and 8x Detailer options are available only for Pro users.)
- Upscale Only (2x, 4x, 8x): Great for increasing your image resolution without modifying the image content.
- Detailer Options:
- Details Only: Now you have the option to add texture, clarity, and realism without changing the image size. Perfect for when you want better detail but don’t need a bigger image.
- Detailer Upscaler (2x, 4x, 8x): It sharpens up the details and upscales your image at the same time. It’s a two-in-one boost.
With all these options, there’s something for every need, from subtle improvements to dramatic transformations. Here is a comparison between all types of enhancements:
4. Adjust the Detailer Settings
We now have two intuitive sliders to help you fine-tune your image according to your preferences. They also give you more flexibility.
- Details – The higher you go, the more fine details it will add to your image. Choose from Low, Medium, or High, depending on how much texture and refinement you want.
- Modification – The higher you go with this, the more creative and transformative the AI will get. Select Subtle, Balanced, or Strong based on how much you’re okay with the image being changed.
It might take a few tries and a bit of practice, but experimenting with the sliders can help you land on the perfect combination that brings your vision to life.
Tip – For portraits, we recommend setting the Modification level to the lowest setting. This keeps facial features unchanged and natural-looking. But if you’re open to a bit more creativity and change, feel free to experiment!
