Guided by real user feedback, the new design sports a sleek dark theme with blue accents, so important tools can really stand out. If you’re a new Tengr.ai user, you’ll appreciate our user-friendly design. However, if you’re an advanced user, or already familiar with our platform, you’ll notice a fresh, sleek new look that can help you smoothly bring your ideas to life. Our goal was to make your creative process more enjoyable, no matter your skill level.
However, what we’re here to talk about today, is the new credit-based system, which was created to make your experience with our platform even better and more flexible.
Don’t worry, your subscription price isn’t changing at all, what’s more, you’ll have the freedom to explore all our exclusive features, no matter what plan you’re choosing. So, it’s pretty exciting. Let’s break down what these changes are, and what they mean to you:
Why the Switch to Credits?
Why we’re switching to a credit-based system, you ask? Our goal is to give you more freedom and flexibility when using our platform.
You know how sometimes you just want to try out one of our cool Pro-only features before upgrading your whole plan? Now you can. This makes every single feature available to everyone – whether you’re on a Free, Economic, or Pro subscription. You can try out new features before committing to anything long-term. Basically, Free and Economic users can test out features that used to be exclusive to Pro. We want every subscriber to experience what’s new without feeling like they’re missing out.
Plus, you’ll get a certain amount of credits that you can spend on the tools that you actually need.
And, the best part is that there’s no price increase. You’ll keep paying the same amount, except now you’ll have credits to spend on what really matters to you.
We give you the power to choose, explore, and make the most of your subscription.
Overview of the New Plans
What you have to know about the new credit-based system is that we’ve kept things pretty straightforward and transparent. No hidden costs and no extra steps are needed from your side.
If you’re on the Free plan, you’ll receive 180 Refresh Credits per day, which renew every 24 hours. This is great for getting acquainted with our platform. The Economic plan costs $12/month (or $120/year) and comes with 180,000 Refresh Credits per month and faster queue times. The Pro plan is $36/month (or $360/year), for 550,000 Refresh Credits per month, plus the fastest queue times. Finally, the Business plan has custom pricing and credits, plus prompt engineering support and API access.
However, important to mention that if you stick with a monthly Economic package, it’s $12 per month. But, if you opt for the yearly plan, you’ll pay only $10 per month—totaling $120 for the entire year. The same idea applies to our Pro package as well: you can either pay per month or get a better monthly rate by going yearly.

Basically, if you love your current plan, keep it! You’ll automatically get your credits once the new system goes live, without any action required from you. Pretty simple.
Credit Costs for Features
Now that you know how many credits you’ll have to play with, let’s see what you can do with them.
Every feature on Tengr.ai has a specific Refresh Credit cost, so you’ll always know exactly how much each action requires. For example, a non-transparent image generation costs 20 Refresh Credits, while a transparent image generation costs 30. If you’re into Face Swap, that’s 45 Refresh Credits per use. Meanwhile, upscaling an image is 35 Refresh Credits for 2x, 70 for 4x, 150 for 2x Detailer Upscaler, and 300 for 4x Detailer Upscaler. This way, no matter which plan you’re on, you can decide exactly how to spend your credits.
Important to note: if an artwork fails to generate, we’ll automatically return the credits you spent on that failed attempt.
You can freely calculate and decide which tools you’re spending your credits on. Including the features that were previously exclusive to Pro users. Maybe you’re on a Free tier and want to try out Face Swap to know if it’s worth upgrading your subscription for it. Or just out of curiosity. Or perhaps you’re on the Economic plan but need an extra high-resolution image for a special project. Now you can! Simple as that.

How It Works
So how does this all happen in your daily use of Tengr.ai? It’s kind of like having a creative budget:
Your current subscription will automatically transition to the new system, and we’ll make sure you’ve got your credits ready to go. No need to do anything.
Subscription Cycle and Credit Refresh:
Everyone receives a specific number of credits based on their subscription type each billing cycle. For Free users, credits refresh daily, starting from the time of their very first login. Economic and Pro users get a monthly refresh, with the billing cycle starting from the day they subscribed, not the calendar month.
Next, you choose whichever feature you’d like to use or experiment with. You’ll see exactly how many credits that specific feature needs. If you run low on credits (though with Economic or Pro, it’s unlikely), you can either wait for the fresh batch of credits to come in, or consider upgrading your plan for a higher monthly credit.
Then, at the start of your new cycle, your number of credits reset. However, keep in mind that unused credits do not carry over to the next period.
